How to Unpack & Set Up Your DRESSOVA Cloud Lounger
Your DRESSOVA arrives vacuum-compressed for eco-friendly shipping — compact in the box, but ready to become your giant cozy cloud! Full expansion takes 48–72 hours, but you can start enjoying it sooner.
Open the Box Carefully
Place the box on a flat, clean surface (like your floor or bed). Use scissors or a box cutter to open the top flaps. Remove any protective packaging like bubble wrap or cardboard inserts. You'll see the vacuum-sealed package containing your chaise lounge and the separate matching ottoman (footstool).
Locate & Gently Open the Vacuum Bag
Find the main compressed package (it will look like a flat, firm brick). Important: Do NOT use sharp tools directly on the plastic to avoid accidentally nicking the inner liner or corduroy cover. Carefully cut or tear open the outer vacuum bag along the sealed edge (most have a easy-tear notch). Remove the contents slowly — the chaise will be folded/compressed inside a protective liner, and the ottoman may be in its own smaller bag.
Unfold & Place in Your Chosen Spot
Move the chaise and ottoman to your desired location (bedroom corner, living room, dorm, etc.). Unfold the chaise as much as possible — it may feel flat and lumpy at first (that's normal — the high-density shredded memory foam is packed tight). Position the matching ottoman nearby (it expands similarly if compressed).
Break Up & Fluff the Foam (The Fun Part!)
Use your hands to gently massage and break apart any firm clumps of foam through the cover or liner. Knead, pat, and rotate the chaise like fluffing a big pillow. Flip it over a few times and push the foam around to distribute evenly. Do the same for the ottoman. This helps the shredded memory foam start expanding faster and removes any initial lumps.
Let It Expand Fully (Patience Pays Off)
Leave the chaise and ottoman in an open area with good airflow (avoid tight corners or direct heat sources). It will noticeably grow bigger within the first few hours. Full plush, cloud-like shape takes 48–72 hours (sometimes up to a week in cooler rooms). Fluff occasionally during this time — the more you move and knead it early on, the better it settles.
